Dear Patriot:

We continue to have hope and pray that 2023 will be better.

Thank you for your support and encouragement this past year. It means so much to all of us and to the people we are able to offer legal counsel.

We would also ask you to consider an end of year gift to Defending The Republic so that we can help more people being harrassed by Big Government.

You may go HERE to donate. Any amount is worthwhile and appreciated.

Here are a few items you may have missed while celebrating this past week.

1- This is an excellent piece as we contemplate where we are at the beginning of 2023. Read the whole thing.

At What Point Do We Say Enough?

QUOTE: Traditionally this is the time of year where we review our life’s direction, and then make some New Year’s resolution(s). But when do citizens have such a contemplation about America’s directions? IMO we should formally add this to our New Year’s reflections — and it’s long overdue. This is my take on where things currently stand…

The Big Picture is that Communists (e.g., Russia and China) and their allies are in a life-and-death war against Democracies (e.g., US, Europe, etc.).

Let’s briefly step back and see several examples where America’s opponents are attacking, and what successes they have had to date. Hopefully this might focus our attention on areas we will push back against — working together with other like-minded citizens, in effective ways….

Target: Religion… Strategy: Undermine Judeo-Christian beliefs and morality. Replace these with a new unpublished set of “values,” made up by a collection of stuffed shirts, and enforced by parties with no authority to do so.

Target: Men… Strategy: Emasculate, feminize and weaken men.

Target: Women… Strategy: Defeminize them, undermine the roll of mothers, inflate discrimination claims about them, etc.

Target: Families… Strategy: Redefine what a conventional family is, and undercut its importance.

Target: Education… Strategy: Propagandize children. Emphasize conformity over critical thinking. Undermine Science education. Install grade inflation. Etc.

Target: Initiative… Strategy: Award participation instead of accomplishment.

2- Every Republican Governor should follow this lead.

Fla. Supreme Court Signs Off on DeSantis Request For Grand Jury Probing COVID-19 Vax Makers

QUOTE: The Florida Supreme Court has handed GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis a victory with a decision this week on empaneling a grand jury to conduct an investigation into the makers of COVID-19 vaccines. The governor’s office filed a request with the state’s highest court to launch a probe into mRNA vaccine manufacturers following reports of health problems by some people who took them.

Earlier this month, DeSantis announced that he was petitioning the state Supreme Court to impanel a grand jury to look into any potential wrongdoing related to the vaccines. “It is against the law to mislead and to misrepresent, particularly when you’re talking about the efficacy of a drug,” he told local media at the time.

The Daily Wire reported: “According to local media, groups involved in the design, development, clinical testing, marketing, and distribution of such vaccines are subject to a statewide impaneled grand jury investigation for one year. DeSantis’ petition said widespread belief was that the COVID-19 vaccine would prevent the disease from spreading, which led to mandates on citizens, healthcare workers, and military members.”

3- We worry about leftist moving into red states but, at least in Florida, they seem to be jumping on the conservative bandwagon.

‘DeSantis Democrats’: Why blue voters are switching to red in Florida

QUOTE: “DeSantis Democrats” may have been central to the overwhelming reelection last month of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

He won several Democratic-leaning areas, including Miami-Dade County.

Voters who have not considered voting Republican before flipped to DeSantis in 2022, according to a report from the Free Press.

Voters cited in the report gave various reasons for the way they voted. Many cited economic concerns, specifically inflation, as their main motivation. But a bevy of them also cited DeSantis’s leadership abilities, his ideology, and how “he kept the schools open and taxes low.”

DeSantis’s burgeoning appeal is prompting comparisons with “Reagan Democrats,” a historical reference that cannot but be pleasing to the Florida governor, who already leads many Republican polls of presidential contenders. Many former Democrats switched to support President Ronald Reagan, delivering a thumping Republican victory in 1980 and a 49-state landslide in 1984.

4- It is way past time for doctors to call a halt to this horror.

mRNA Vaccines Causing High Rate of Injuries, Must Be Halted: Cardiologists

QUOTE: Cardiologists Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Aseem Malhotra say the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines have done more harm to the public than good. A large percentage of patients have been injured by the mRNA vaccines, with harms including a broad range of injuries to the heart, the doctors said.

“Roughly 15 percent of people who have taken the vaccines are damaged by them,” McCullough said during a recent dual interview with Malhotra for EpochTV’s “American Thought Leaders” program. McCullough is one of the most published cardiologists in America and chief scientific officer of The Wellness Company.

“I think all cardiovascular conditions have got worse because of the vaccine, and anything and everything that can go wrong with the heart has gone wrong with the heart as a result of this mRNA vaccine,” added Malhotra, who has written extensively on reversing heart disease through lifestyle changes.

5- We have long known where the blame lied. It is good to see the House GOP calling it out.

House GOP report faults Nancy Pelosi for Jan. 6 security failures

QUOTE: House Republicans issued a scathing report Wednesday exposing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s key role in the catastrophic security and intelligence failures that left the US Capitol vulnerable to a violent attack on January 6, 2021.

Days after Pelosi’s Jan. 6 select committee recommended insurrection charges against former president Donald Trump over the Capitol riot, Republicans have hit back with a counter-investigation apportioning blame for the internal security breakdown on Jan. 6 to Pelosi and a dysfunctional Capitol Police intelligence division.

“Leadership and law enforcement failures within the U.S. Capitol left the complex vulnerable on January 6, 2021,” says the report, which is based on a trove of texts and email messages, and testimony from Capitol Police leaders and rank-and-file officers.

House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving, who answered to Pelosi as one of three voting members of the Capitol Police Board, “succumbed to political pressures from the Office of Speaker Pelosi and House Democrat leadership,” was “compromised by politics and did not adequately prepare for violence at the Capitol.”

Pelosi and her staff “coordinated closely” with Irving on security plans for the Joint Session of Congress on Jan. 6, but Republicans were deliberately left out of “important discussions related to security.”

And, in an apparent attempt to hide from Republicans the fact that they were being excluded from discussions, Irving asked a senior Democratic staffer to “act surprised” when he sent “key information about plans for the Joint Session on Jan. 6, 2021, to him and his Republican counterpart.”

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  We look forward to this conversation continuing next year.
