Dear Patriots,
It has been another tough week for the Republic.
However, there are victories to know about.
1- Mothers and fathers fighting to protect their children from the government are growing stronger and having more influence on the political debate.
Moms for Liberty rises as power player in GOP politics after attacking schools over gender, race
QUOTE: To its members, it’s a grassroots army of “joyful warriors” who “don’t co-parent with the government.”
To anti-hate researchers, it’s a well-connected extremist group that attacks inclusion in schools.
And to Republicans vying for the presidency, it has become a potential key partner in the fight for the 2024 nomination.
Moms for Liberty didn’t exist during the last presidential campaign, but the Florida-based nonprofit that champions “parental rights” in education has rapidly become a major player for 2024, boosted in part by GOP operatives, politicians and donors.
The group that has been at the forefront of the conservative movement targeting books that reference race and gender identity and electing right-wing candidates to local school boards nationwide is hosting one of the next major gatherings for Republican presidential primary contenders. At least four are listed as speakers at the Moms for Liberty annual summit in Philadelphia later this month.
The high interest in the event underscores how fights surrounding gender and race have become core issues for Republican voters. It also spotlights Republicans’ eagerness to embrace a group that has drawn backlash for spreading anti-LGBTQ+ ideas and stripping libraries and classrooms of diverse material.
The group was founded in 2021 by Tiffany Justice, Tina Descovich and Bridget Ziegler, all current and former school board members in Florida who were unhappy with student mask and quarantine policies during the pandemic.
In two years, the organization has ballooned to 285 chapters across 44 states, Justice said. The group claims 120,000 active members.
2- It is hopeful that middle schoolers have had enough of the forced LGBT political agenda and were brave enough to push back.
Massachusetts students tear down rainbow decorations and chant their pronouns are ‘U.S.A.’
QUOTE: Massachusetts middle schoolers tore down Pride decorations and chanted that their pronouns were ‘USA’ in a striking protest after they were asked to wear rainbow colors to school.
Students at Marshall Simonds Middle School in Burlington, Massachusetts, were asked to wear rainbow-colored shirts to celebrate Pride Month on June 2, but a preplanned protest broke out with students tearing up Pride flag stickers and chanting: ‘USA are my pronouns.’
Decked out in red, white and blue, the students destroyed the decorations lining the hallway the student organization Spectrum Group distributed, including a quote from American playwright Tennessee Williams, signage saying the school was a ‘safe space’ and ‘equality for everyone’ decorations.
‘I was shocked and horrified,’ Nila Almstrom, a parent of an LGBT student, said at a town hall meeting about the protest.
Parents have told local news outlets their straight-identifying students said they felt forced to participate and were ‘offended’ by the Tennessee Williams quote that reiterated that the human heart is ‘curved like a road through the mountains’ and only lines and streets can be straight.
3- Quietly, this indoctrination is failing.
MLB quietly tells teams to drop use of Pride uniforms
QUOTE: Major League Baseball has quietly ordered its teams not to wear any Pride uniforms throughout their Pride events.
The decision comes amid several companies and organizations facing consumer pushback for promoting LGBT acceptance.News of the MLB directive gained recognition last week when the Tampa Bay Rays reportedly announced its Pride festivities would have a different look, with players not sporting jerseys and hats featuring Pride rainbow patches and logos. The league reportedly announced its decision at an owners meeting in February.
The decision follows Rays players declining to wear Pride jerseys in 2022, along with many NHL teams opting out of Pride night festivities as players resisted wearing themed jerseys.
Despite the MLB directive, the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants have proceeded with wearing their Pride uniform patches and logos due to a reported agreement.
The Texas Rangers are the only MLB team not to hold a Pride-themed game for the past 20 years, opting to instead focus on being “more inclusive in hiring practices.”The Dodgers have drawn widespread criticism for their choice to honor the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a self-described “queer and trans nuns” group, at the team’s Pride Night festivities this Friday.
This week, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops called the Dodgers’ decision “blasphemy.”
4- Reverse discrimination is as bad as any other discrimination. It is good to see a woke coprpation being held accountable.
Starbucks Fined $25.6M for Firing a Manager for Being White.
QUOTE: A federal jury has ordered Starbucks to pay $600,000 in compensatory damages and $25 million in punitive damages to a district manager who was fired for being white.
Shannon Phillips was caught up in the furore that followed the arrest of two black men at a Starbucks in Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, who had refused to leave after taking up a table and using the restroom without paying for anything.
The incident went viral on social media, with Starbucks scrambling to burnish its diversity and inclusion credentials amid accusations of racism.
Shannon’s lawsuit alleged that a crackdown on white employees, often without justification, formed part of this response.Phillips was asked to suspend a white Philadelphia area manager due to allegations of discrimination, while the black manager of the Rittenhouse Square coffee shop at the heart of the “crisis” went unpunished.
Phillips hesitated to suspend the white manager, as the allegations against him were false, resulting in her own dismissal.
Now, a federal jury has unanimously concluded that she was fired for being white, violating federal civil rights laws and state laws prohibiting racial discrimination.
5- Hold fast on this boycott of Bud Light. They are counting on consumers to forget their evil ways. Don’t forget!
Bud Light’s Slump Continues As New Drink Becomes Top-Selling Beer In America
QUOTE: Bud Light has continued its slide from its long-standing place as the top-selling beer in America in the aftermath of its partnership with transgender-identifying activist Dylan Mulvaney.
According to new numbers from NielsenIQ analyzed by Bump Williams consulting firm, the embattled beer brand again placed second to Mexican beer Modelo Especial, which is owned in North America by Constellation Brands. Anheuser-Busch owns Modelo Especial outside of North America.
Bud Light sales fell 24.6% while Modelo Especial increased its sales by 10.2% compared to last year during that same time period, based on the data.
“Unless Bud Light starts to experience a serious course correction in terms of performance, which can only come from consumers finding their way back into the brand family, then that firm grip on the No. 1 rank by year-end loosens a bit more every week,” Dave Williams, a consultant for Bump Williams, told CBS MoneyWatch at the time.
He added that the company would need to rebound over the summer to avoid further major losses.
Bud Light’s fall from the top spot comes after conservatives and others encouraged customers to boycott the beer after it partnered with Mulvaney, a man who identifies as a woman.
Bud Light has lost billions of dollars in market value following the partnership. According to numbers analyzed at the end of May, the beer brand lost an astounding $15.7 billion in market value.
Some analysts have predicted that the boycott seems like it will continue for the “foreseeable future.”
6- We must keep sending the message that we are sick of being lied to.
These are the worst numbers in primetime that Fox News has ever posted…
QUOTE: Well, just when you think things can’t get any worse for Fox News, they go and prove you wrong by hitting new, unimaginable lows. These new disastrous numbers are actually the absolute worst in Fox News history. Yes, the former “KING” of cable news is now plummeting to historic lows. It’s remarkable how swiftly these media royals have fallen.
Check out this closeup of the ratings. Take a look at how much time it takes for The Five to make an appearance. That once mega-popular show is sitting at an embarrassing number seven in the rankings with the key demographic. MSNBC is now the undisputed “King of the Demo” by a huge margin. Wow. This is incredible to see, nearly two months after Fox fired Tucker.
Surprisingly, even with the elimination of all commercial breaks and continuous coverage of the politicized sham Trump indictment, Fox News failed to get even 2 million viewers during the highly coveted 8:00 p.m. time slot. This is quite a downfall considering Tucker used to dominate that time slot with an average of around 3 million viewers per show.
7- One election at a time! We will celebrate all the victories.
Republican Wins Special Election, Flipping District Democrats Won Just Months Ago
QUOTE: A Maine Republican candidate won a seat in the state’s House of Representatives during a special election Tuesday, flipping a spot that had gone to a Democrat in the November election.
Abden Simmons, a former state representative, was declared the winner with 52 percent of the vote, surpassing Democrat Wendy Pieh’s 48 percent, News Center Maine reported. Pieh is also a former state representative.
Simmons will replace Democrat Clinton Collamore in representing Bremen, Friendship, Louds Island Township, Waldoboro and Washington.
Collamore resigned in February after he was indicted on accusations of violating the Maine Clean Elections Act and of forging signatures to collect $14,000 worth of public campaign funds, News Center Maine reported.
Collamore pleaded not guilty to the charges but vowed to return the campaign funds as well as his legislative salary, according to the news outlet.
