Of note, on October 16, 2025, SGO Corporation, commonly known as “Smartmatic” was indicted by a federal grand jury in Miami for allegedly “participating in a scheme to pay and launder more than $1 million in bribes to a Philippine government official in connection with contracts related to the 2016 Philippine national elections.” (language marked in italic font pulled directly from the Press Release issued by the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida, found here (https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdfl/pr/voting-machine-company-charged-philippine-bribery-and-money-laundering-scheme). Please refer directly to the US Attorney’s press release, or to the superseding indictment itself found here (https://fingfx.thomsonreuters.com/gfx/legaldocs/znvnnwmrgvl/Smartmatic-superseding.pdf) for more information regarding this matter.
On September 19, 2025, Dominion Voting Systems, Sidney Powell, Sidney Powell PC, and Defending the Republic, Inc. filed an agreed dismissal in the active case brought by Dominion against these parties in DC federal court. A copy of the stipulation can be found here (https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/29090821/139/us-dominion-inc-v-powell/ ). (SEE BELOW FULL DOCUMENT) The case is dismissed in its entirety.
