Hash validation is required before each election in some states. Find out if your state performs a hash test on the election system. If not, find out why.A hash validation is a test that is supposed to determine if a machine's code has been altered or if it is the same as the certified version of the software. This is an important step, but like many other processes, it has flaws. Just because the hash codes match doesn't mean the system is safe. It's one of those things that should be required, but not relied upon.<\/div>\n\n
